In Ribeira, you will find Porto’s main neoclassical building at the Palacio da Bolsa, with lots of boutiques and cafes in the surrounding area. This area is also very well-connected with the rest of the city via public transport, although rental prices will be higher here.


Cedofeita

Cedofeita has become one of the most popular neighborhoods for remote workers in Porto because of its alternative vibe. Indeed, the city’s main universities and conservatories are located here, giving the area a young and artful feel. Still graced by the city’s strong Baroque aesthetic, Cedofeita is also home to Porto’s influential contemporary art scene, and you can expect to find numerous influential galleries and art stores in this area. Vintage boutiques, alternative cafés and hip bars can also be easily found in this area which is home also to the important Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis which holds some of the country’s historical treasures.
