This medieval port town is reachable by train straight from Cais do Sodré. Indeed, the journey itself is remarkable, with the train making stops at emblematic towns along the Portuguese coast, including Estoril and Carcavelos. The main highlight here, asides from the authentic feel of the town and its sandy beach, is the Palacio da Ciudadela which stands tall as a beautiful seafront fortress right on the shores of Cascais. Nazaré
