What are the best cafes for Remote Workers in Lisbon?

https://remoteclub.com/lisbon/workspaces/

Because we know how essential a good cafe will be for those coming to this city, we have listed some of the best cafes for remote workers in Lisbon.

If youโ€™ve chosen Lisbon as your next destination to visit as a remote worker, it is more than likely that youโ€™ll spend half your time here drinking vino. The other half, however, will be reserved for an understated but essential drink across Portugal - coffee. Even long before the influx of expats and Remote Workers to this European city, the Portuguese have been enjoying coffee just as much as their European neighbors as one of the best ways to get together with friends or for a much-needed energy boost. Here's our guide to the best spots around the city!

Copenhagen Coffee Lab

This Danish chain is much-loved in Portugal and across Lisbon, with several stores around the city. It prides itself in making specialty coffee, with curated beans and the best equipment. Our favorite location is in Principe Real, located just off Praรงa Das Flores. It is a fantastic spot from which to feel the artistic and colorful vibes of the neighborhood, as well as taste some amazing Portuguese and Danish pastries. The setting is rustic in general and there is great Wi-Fi on site, definitively making it one of the best cafes for remote workers in Lisbon.

The Mill

This Portuguese Australian coffee-shop is located just west of the city center in Santa Caterina and prides itself in offering great brunch options as well as breakfasts and pastries. The Mill is also one of the few places in Lisbon to make its own Cold Brew, which is fantastic news for iced coffee lovers. One of the things that sets this place apart is also its artistic vibe - the cafรฉ itself offers visitors its ceramics, made in-house, by local artists. WiFi here is great but be advised that it can get quite crowded at times!

Cafe da Garagem

Located right next to the popular, independent Teatro da Garagem, this eccentric cafe is filled with theatrical memorabilia, artifacts and references, giving the place a quirky feel. This is a popular cafe, not least for its sweeping views of the city and natural light, which makes it one of the best cafes for remote workers in Lisbon. Cafe da Garagem often hosts musicians for live events and feels surprisingly like a cultural institution right in the heart of the city. Beware this spot can get crowded and is usually closed if there is a show going on next door!

Hello, Kristof

Loved by remote workers as one of the most reliable places to get some work done in Lisbon, Hello, Kristof is one of our favorite cafes in the city. The space has an inviting, clean and minimalist design dominated by slick long wooden tables. There are lots of sitting options here, making it perfect for a group or solo session. The coffee at Hello, Kristof is well-recommended and you are encouraged to browse through the impressive magazine collection on display for sale!

Cafe da Ordem dos Arquitectos (COA)

This unique cafe located in the Cais do Sobre neighborhood is one of the best cafes for remote workers in Lisbon - it is situated within the building that houses the Order of Architects in Portugal, giving it a professional and sophisticated feel. The cafe aims to be a โ€œmeeting point between society and architectureโ€ and is beautifully designed with great seating areas both indoors and outdoors. COA offers great lunches and wifi!

Brick Cafe Lisboa

If youโ€™re looking to get out of the center of the city for a while, we suggest you hop on the metro and head north for a couple of stops up to Anjos where you will find Brick Cafe Lisboa. We like this as one of the best cafes for remote workers in Lisbon because of its cozy feel away from the heart of the city, as well as because of its delicious brunches and craft beers. The coffee is amazing and the gin options make it a great alternative spot for some relaxed afternoon work.
