Translating into "Lesser Town" or "Little Town", Malá Strana is a wonderful neighbourhood for those looking to be in the center of the city but not necessarily at the heart of the tourist hub. This area is home to Prague's beautiful castles and the architecture of even the residential homes in this area is striking. Lots of quieter bars, cafés and restaurants can be found in this area, although it can get somewhat busy with tourists during the day. The area is quite expensive and lies at the foot of a hill, so expect some steep climbs.
