Gracia has recently become one of Barcelona's trendiest areas, with a great number of indie boutique stores, and cool bars in the Catalan style, all within the backdrop of elegant boulevards and art nouveau architecture. This large neighborhood extends all the way up to the hills to the north of the city, providing good access to nature. On the whole, the neighborhood is quiet and much less touristic than others around it. Rents in this area will be cheaper than elsewhere. Gracia remains well communicated with the rest of Barcelona and has a number of good coworking spaces and laptop-friendly cafes.
